This design combines the practical utility of a municipal building with a comfortable seashore ambiance to reflect its geographic location. Too many public buildings have a cold and uninviting design. They feel more like monuments than comfortable gathering places for townspeople. Conversely, we have created a town center which captures the "feel" of the town and its seaside hospitality. The building features a shingle-style design associated with the mid-Atlantic to northern Atlantic coast. Included is a Nantucket-style clock tower with graying shingles and contrasting trim. The inviting design encourages residents to gather and utilize the municipal facilities to the fullest extent.
