A Redesign of A 50's Rancher- The Result is Pure Oceanfront Drama...

A dramatic conversion from ranch style to a stylized contemporary oceanfront, this redesign is better suited to the owners' present lifestyle.

Studio Tagland took advantage of the excellent view, with a "stepped-up" dining area in the conical section of the structure, allowing a magnificent 180-degree view of the Atlantic Ocean.

A barrel roof, allowing a high ceiling in the new living room, gives the feeling of extra space; and the bow shaped deck off the living room seems to extend the living room outdoors, again with a breathtaking view of the coast.

To integrate the existing walls, curved walls were made a part of the structure, adding interest to the interior design.
